Ah... Paris...

Well, the minute Gareth arrived at base camp, I 'directed'...

she manhandled me and threatened me

... him to the notice board and convinced him

practically shoved the slip of paper into my hand

... to try out an adventure... or two.

I was here for the art galleries and museums.... you promised.

I choose to ignore his whimpering for now, this looks much more fun, whaddayasay?

So, with a gentlest of pushes ...

she dragged me by my collar

... I got him to meet up with his contact.

Ohh, she's nice.

.... and let her explain her predicament.
Apparently she was on a 'dig' at the Celtic Ruins and dropped something on the floor. She needs someone to try and find it for her.

Um, not sure about this 'adventure stuff'.

Just go along with us... please?

Um.

She said she'll teach you a love song.

Really?

Yep Just ask her. It'll come in useful when you see Laura again.

Okay.

So this woman (forget her name sorry folks), teaches Gareth a French love song. And I'm completely surprised that he's got such a wonderful tenor voice.

Pleased with his results and the lavish praise he got from his tutor, he perused the map she'd shown him, grabbed the nearest scooter and zoomed off at top speed towards the Celtic Ruins, a silly grin on his face.

He arrived at the ruins, mid afternoon, and looked slightly disappointed in himself.

Can't see anything.

Maybe you should do a little excavating.

And dirty this suit?

*roll eyes*

NOW you're fussing about your suit?

Yeah, but I like it.... it's so.... me. And I'd hate to see it ripped and torn in anyway.

Just. Get. On. With. The. Digging.

So, he clears a piece of ground and reveals.....

... nothing....

Except a broken relic.

Well, that was pointless.

Maybe it's in the tunnels.

Do I HAVE to go in there? My hands are dirty now and I really REALLY need to wash them.
Three times.

*sigh*

No. Just keep going.

But I'm grubby.

Just keep going.

Anyway, with great reluctance, he went into the tomb.

I want to go home.

He spotted a door, but unfortunately, it was blocked by a pile of rubble. So he had to excavate that rubble in order to progress.

I hate this. I wanted to see the galleries and museums.

You will, as soon as you've completed your mission.

Swinging his arms in a wide arc, he made short work of the rubble....

... revealing...

.... a room with a chest.

Ooohhh, pretty shiny stuff.... me likey....

Well, that's got him motivated.

We continued deeper into the belly of the tomb, opening doors and traps etc. on our way (and filling Gareth's pockets with loads of artifacts etc)

It's so dark here.

So I can see.

And I'm getting tired.....

There's a tent, so you could sleep in there, get yourself refreshed and ready to continue the next day.

Not sure about that skeleton though. And this place creeps me out.

**Side Note**

He only had just enough money to take a 3 day break. And he used all that time running back and forth to the ruins trying to find this missing item.
In the end, he gave up and waited for the taxi to take him back home.

He managed to fit in ONE visit to the art gallery, which boosted his mood a lot. But he hasn't rolled another wish for a return.... just one that said he was glad to be home.

  1. Hiya Sonia, busy catching up on all Gareth's adventures. Lol, I love his freak out sessions...makes me chuckle.

Just to let you know, the thing she lost was a baseball or something like that. And it's in a big room, which I think is the one next to the room with a tent. And it's in the floor, in one of those holes you can stick their hand into.
