All About Alice

Alice arrived home today, bundled up in a gorgeous pink blanket, snuggled in her mommy's arms.

Altogether now....

Awwwww.

And although Rhonda loves her dearly.... snuggling, feeding, playing with her....
.... it's plainly obvious who loves her more.

Although their first 'meeting/bonding' went a little strangely.

Gareth was still in his burglar outfit as he leaned into the cot to pick her up and the expression on her face was ... well... confusion, closely followed by wry amusement.

As if she's thinking...

who the heck is this guy... and who is he trying to be???

Well, after that, Gareth got a little 'overexcited' at his daughter...
... and I'm pretty sure he didn't mean to do what he did do.
.... after all, he was only changing her diaper...

.... he didn't mean to hit her head up against the light fitting...

... nope, I'm pretty sure he didn't.

Don't these pictures tell a wonderful story?

Swept up in all this love, Gareth hasn't time to do any freak-outs....
Nor does he ever worry about checking the sink or oven.
He does often think about making the bed and washing dishes, but Alice keeps him occupied most of the time, so they're just that.... passing thoughts.
But it happened anyway. Thank goodness the Social Worker didn't see that, or she'd have soon 'spirited' Alice away.

But the poor little thing though....
When she was born, I had the chance to choose two traits.
So I decided to opt for one from each parent.

Athletic from Rhonda
Neurotic from Gareth.

Poor little thing though....
....... started feeling very lonely when she was put into the crib, and fussed about, whimpering and crying.

Poor lil kid.

It wasn't mommy's fault that she desperately needed some sleep, and was akin to napping through the day.

But it's plainly obvious that Gareth thinks the sun shines out of....
well, you get the picture

Or in this case ... MANY pictures!!!

On another note, Rhonda's tinkering with the dishwasher has only made things worse, as now it's making horrendous screeching noises that are really affecting Gareth's hearing.

So he demands that they get maintenance out.

They arrive.

Stand there.

Then leave.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Also, Rhonda is determined to lose that 'baby fat' so she takes on an extreme fitness regime, making herself sore and fatigued, but VERY happy indeed.

  1. Ooooh... I just laugh about Gareth taking the head of the baby to the lights... lol
    But he's very father like!
    I'm proud of him!
